A Family Affair:
Curb Appeal

This client used to say that if she were ever to sell her house, she’d contact me to fix it up. So when the market bottomed out and she realized she wasn’t going anywhere I got a call. “We’re staying put,” she said. “Come on over and help me fix up my house.”

I started from the outside in… The first thing I did was rip off the front door and remove the front porch, replacing them with a majestic black lacquer door, an overhang and new outdoor lights giving her home greater curb appeal. Inside, I refinished the floors and added custom moldings. I freshened-up the railings and main stairway with a new coat of black paint then covered the stairs with a wonderfully comfy runner. For a little more punch, we hung bold oversized paintings and added custom-designed lampshades to the living area.

"Jennifer brought our home to life with color, detail and interest. She worked with us within our budget and the family pieces that we wanted to incorporate. The end result, an elegant, comfortable home that reflects our style.

Her forte is her attention to detail and sense of color. Our dining room drapes are elegant. Jennifer’s sense of color brought our living room to life and many visitors ask who created the space. I have recommended Jennifer to many friends and family including my mother when we lost our family home in New Vernon to a fire.

Jennifer painstaking made drawings of the rooms and took samples of the elaborate window treatments so that she could re-create the details of our beloved family home in a new space. Beyond her talent is the compassion of a true artist."
